Rev Lin Francis
Lin is now a Supernumerary Minister, she is retired – it’s official!. I have served in several different places: Bristol, Baldock in North Hertfordshire, Brighton & Hove, Banbury and Gillingham in the Yeovil & Blackmore Vale Circuit. I have been a Superintendent Minister for 18 of those years. Despite saying I am retired, I have taken up this part-time appointment on the Isle of Wight. This is truly a gift from God and I look forward to serving him alongside everyone here.
I am a people person. I love to hear people’s stories, especially stories of faith and their journey with God, but also of those with no or little faith. Talking is also important to me, talking with people and encouraging them to explore what a knowledge of Jesus really means.
I am married to Geoff who has two daughters and we have three grandchildren. Our family all live in Swindon in Wiltshire, including my parents, brother and his family and aunts, uncles and cousins
Lin’s hobbies have changed over the years, but have included First Aid training and competition work, Road Rallying, a following of Arsenal FC, reading and baking, but above all being with family – church and relational is most important.
