The church in Quay Street was built in 1876, originally as a Bible Christian Chapel and directly next door to the town’s first police station and jail! Over the years, the buildings have been modernised and added to making it a hub of community activity. Some part of the premises is in use every day of the week. The sanctuary has recently been made a more comfortable and flexible area whilst maintaining the beautiful craftsmanship.
We are a very welcoming and proactive church family eager to fulfil our mission statement, to grow and develop in worship, fellowship, discipleship, service and evangelism. We offer a range of worship styles with music provided by organ and worship band. If you are looking for a church that offers good biblical teaching, friendship and fellowship together with the opportunity of becoming involved in midweek activities then look no further, you will be most welcome.
