We’re a lively, sometimes unconventional Methodist Church with a mixture of ages. Officially we’re called Carisbrooke & Gunville Methodist Church since the two chapels combined back in the early 1980’s, but we’re generally known as Gunville.
We’re tired of the notion that church is boring – we believe that meeting together to worship the Creator and Saviour of the world should be the most exciting possibility we could imagine. The fact that He loves us, cares about us, and is interested in us personally is brilliant, and we’d love to share that with everyone. Sunday morning worship is led by members of the congregation, the Minister and visiting Local Preachers. We also have groups for children. We seek to grow in worship, fellowship, discipleship, service and outreach.
This church has a vision to be at the heart of the community and has taken steps to enable this to happen with its involvement with Gunville Community Association which encourages various community activities. The church runs a very popular parent and toddler group which has about 30 toddlers each Tuesday morning along with their parents, grandparents, or carers.
We’d love to see you at any of the events, you will find a genuine warm welcome!
