Covenant Service

From the earliest days of the Methodist societies, John Wesley invited the Methodist people to annually renew their covenant relationship with God. Wesley drew much of his material for this service from seventeenth century Puritanism. It has been revised and updated but still retains the essential element of it being an offering of our undeserving selves, joined with the goodness and generous love of God.

The covenant service joins individuals to each other and to God, a holy family joined in Christian unity. The Methodist covenant prayer is appreciated and used by many Christian denominations. Please join us for what is a very significant event, showing the heart of the Methodist movement emphasising our love, obedience and worship of God.
