John Izzard – Superintendent Minister
I have been a Methodist Minister since 1980 serving in variety of different locations around the country including Long Eaton, Derby, Sheffield, Penzance and Staines. It is a privilege now to be part of the island ministry team serving the Methodist people in this wonderful location.
My vision for the work of the Methodist Church on the Isle of Wight is for the love of Jesus to be shared, lives to be changed and transformed and churches to be renewed.
I am keen to build bridges with the Methodist Church on the mainland and with churches of other denominations on the island so that we can work creatively together for the growth of the Kingdom of God.
I am married to Marian and we have two sons and three grandchildren. I am an ardent Reading football supporter. I love music and play the guitar and violin. I enjoy walking, running and swimming – when time permits! I also enjoy travelling and spending time with family and friends.
